INDULGE YOUR SWEET TOOTH BY ENJOYING OUR CHOCOLATE CHIP BISCOTTI'S!!!

Our chocolate chip biscotti's would be a delicious ending to your meal, a sweet addition to a hot cup of coffee, or an easy dessert to bring to any potluck or party!!!

Try to recreate our chocolate chip biscotti at home if you feel like baking. If not, let us do the work and come into Viand and sample one of our very own cookie cart.

Chocolate Chip Biscotti
Ingredients for the biscotti
7 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed
3/4 cup granulated Sugar
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 large eggs
Pinch of salt
For the egg wash
1 large egg white, beaten
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place all ingredients except chocolate chips in a large mixing bowl and beat with electric mixer on medium speed until well combined, about 5 minutes; the mixture will hold together in a soft dough. Add chocolate chips and fold in batter with spatula. Remove the dough from the mixing bowl and place on a very lightly floured work surface. Divide dough into 3 equal pieces. Use the palms of your hands to roll each piece on your work surface into a rope 1 inch in diameter. Each rope should be even and fit on your baking sheet lengthwise. Place 2 of the biscotti ropes on a parchment paper-covered baking sheet (You will only have room for 2 as they expand when baking) With a pastry brush lightly brush each rope with egg-white. Bake until golden brown, about 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool. Use serrated knife to slice the biscotti on a diagonal into 1/2 inch thick cookies. The cookies will harden as they cool.
