Try one of our mocha chunk cookies at Viand or at home!
It's a sweet ending to a great meal.
Mocha Chunk Cookies
2 1/2 cups all purpouse flour
1/3 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 shots bailys original
1 cup white sugar
3/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed
1 cup salted butter, softened
2 large eggs
2 cups (10z.) semisweet chocolate chips
*Yields 4 dozen
Pre-heat oven 300 degrees
In a medium bowl combine flour, cocoa, soda, and salt. Mix well with a wire whisk and set aside.
In a large bowl blend sugars with an electric mixer at medium speed. Add butter and mix to form a grainy paste. Scrape down sides of bowl. Then add eggs and shots of bailys, and beat at medium speed until smooth.
Add the flour mixture and chocolate chunks, and blend at low speed just until combined. Do not overmix.
Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart. Bake for 23-25 minutres. Immediately transfer cookies with a spatual to a cool, flat surface.
